HRH Prince Saud K. Al-Faisal

Deputy Governor for Investment Affairs at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) President, National Competitiveness Center HRH Prince Saud K Al-Faisal heads the Investment Affairs department, which is responsible for managing the investment environment and competitiveness agenda of Saudi Arabia. The Investment Affairs department has focused on establishing a more liberal investment environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As part of these efforts, HRH Prince Saud K Al-Faisal also chairs the Saudi negotiation team for bilateral investment treaties. In addition, HRH Prince Saud serves on various boards, committees and councils related to increasing Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness, he is a board member of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON), member of the Makkah Regional Council and various regional investment councils in Saudi Arabia. HRH Prince Saud is a frequent speaker at national and international events related to competitiveness, foreign investment and economic development.

Eng. Khaldon Zuhdi Mahasen

Khaldon is Assistant Deputy for Investment Performance Evaluation. He is an expert on public economic policies, competitiveness, and managing investment environment.He is a member of Saudi Arabia’s WTO accession working party. He is a member of the 10 x 10 team, a national program to improve Saudi investment competitiveness. Lead the program of creating the first Saudi data base on FDI foreign direct investments inflows according to international standard including the UNCTAD. Khaldon also led the initiative of enrolling KSA in the Global Competitiveness Report GCR released by the World Economic Forum (WFF) in 2007. Khaldon lead the efforts to improve Saudi Arabia ranking in this report that resulted in an increase of the Saudi ranking from 35th in 2007 to 21st position in the GCR 2010-2011.

Eng. Omar H. Al-Madhi

Omar is Assistant Deputy for Research, Analysis & Councils leading the formation of a division providing quality economic and competitiveness research and advisory. He is also coordinating the Councils on Competitiveness effort. The councils are envisioned to drive speedy delivery of effective reform within the Kingdom thereby improving the ease of doing business and ultimately leading to value creation through economic development.
