This report has been prepared as part of the National Competitiveness Center‟s (NCC) ongoing effort to support the mandate of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, towards government and financial reform. It is also a crucial component of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority‟s (SAGIA‟s) recently launched 5x15 initiative to become one of the top 5 most competitive places to do business according to the World Bank‟s Doing Business report and its 15x15 initiative to become one of the 15 most competitive economies in the world according to the World Economic Forum‟s Global Competitiveness Report. This edition of The Competitiveness Review provides a detailed, current, and objective assessment of Saudi Arabia‟s national competitiveness in the Islamic Finance sector.
